We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Asset Management division. You will be responsible for complete detailed supply
analysis to support the overall management of environmental attributes (renewable energy certificates/credits) associated with
Manitoba Hydro generation, purchases, and sales of energy.


_Responsibilities:
_


  • Utilize, maintain, and continuously enhance computer tools used to internally track environmental attributes and energy used
to serve Manitoba load and export sales agreements.

  • Responsible for documentation processes and practices related to relevant corporate policies.
  • Responsible for administration and review of pricing calculations for independent power under Corporate Policy.
  • Prepare a detailed product supply review and analysis related to environmental attributes in support of contract negotiations
- for the export contracts.
  • Participate in identifying risks associated with various export sales and power purchase contracts and developing measures to
- assess and report these risks.
  • Provide product supply analysis identifying surplus environmental attributes and market opportunities for sale and purchase of

- unbundled environmental attributes.
  • Prepare environmental attribute reports to contractually support export sale agreements and unbundled environmental

- attribute sales.
  • Develop revenue and expense forecasts related to environmental attributes for use in the Integrated Financial Forecast and


  • Generation Estimate.

  • Be Manitoba Hydro's system administrator of the Midwest Renewable Energy Tracking System (M-RETS) to create, transfer,
and retire renewable energy certificates as required; and advocate Manitoba Hydro's interests through Provincial M-RETS
Board representative.

  • Maintain an understanding and awareness of markets and market rules related to environmental attributes. Keep current on
developments related to environmental attributes in voluntary and compliant markets within Canada and the US.

  • Represent the Department/Corporation on internal/external working groups (as required).
  • Work closely with staff from various areas within the corporation.

_ Qualifications:
_


  • A four year degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Economics plus six years of related experience.
OR

  • A recognized Professional Accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CA) with five years of related experience.
OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Possess a practical knowledge of webTrader Power including familiarity with physical energy settlements would be an asset.
  • Willing to travel.

_ Salary Range_
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $40.64-$56.08 Hourly,
$77,882.74-$107,467.36 Annually.
