    Position: Business Analyst

    Location: Brampton, ON, CA

    Hours: 8:00 - 4:30 (4 days in, 1 day WFH)

    Educational/Training Requirements/Experience (What your background should look like)

    • Bachelor's Degree, certification, or equivalent experience in computer science, finance, or business administration.
    • 1-2 years of direct experience as a business analyst.
    • Demonstrated experience analyzing and modeling business, technical, and process requirements
    • Understanding of common tools and systems such as RDBMS, Power BI, DAX, VBA, RegEx, APIs, Webservices, M365, Google Analytics, and Azure Data Factory
    • Proven experience with RDBMS, Power BI, DAX, VBA, RegEx, APIs, and WebServices is considered an asset
    • Advanced MS Excel skills
    • Expertise in designing, developing, and implementing re-engineered business processes and associated software and hardware
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Strong time management, qualification, and negotiation skills

    Mission of the Role (What you will be doing)

    The Business Analyst reports to the location Business Intelligence Manager with direct responsibilities focused on strategic business analysis, new process development, and driving technological advancements for various departments in support of our corporate goals and objectives. This will include the cataloging and documentation of current business processes and sub-processes to discover inefficiencies. The Business Analyst will also be required to liaise with internal leaders to evaluate and re-engineer processes and sub-processes as necessary for determining and meeting the company's technology plans. As such, this individual will act as the main liaison between the IT department and the company's business units.

    Key Duties & Accountabilities (Primary responsibilities & quantifiable measurements)

    • Develop and implement detailed business case analyses to drive technology objectives, focusing on problem-solving and efficiency improvements.
    • Conduct data analyses and produce ad hoc reports to support business process initiatives, both internally and externally.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine business operation requirements and goals, and prototype new procedures for process enhancement.
    • Evaluate and enhance business processes, managing third-party consultants and overseeing relationships with technology partners.
    • Provide consultative support to the executive team, manage research databases, conduct system testing, and support IT services through database and server management.
