Citadel Fence is a fast-moving and growing fence contractor focused on becoming the premier fence installation company in Atlantic Canada.

We are looking for an Installation Manager with extensive fence installation experience to add to our team in
Bedford, Nova Scotia.

Citadel provides their clients with privacy and protection through the installation of chain-link, ornamental, wood, and vinyl fences.

Understanding that clients may have unique needs, Citadel collaborates with customers, industry partners and experienced professionals to provide the right product in every situation.

The Installation Manager will help ensure that all field operations for the business are running smoothly and staff have the training, equipment, and materials needed for the successful completion of projects.

They must be a manager who leads by example and enjoys working in the field alongside their team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee fence installation crews and projects, recommend solutions that increase effectiveness and efficiency while ensuring results meet or exceed traditional quality standards;
Train and mentor crew members with various levels of experience on proper installation procedures and techniques;
Ensure crews have the people, materials and equipment needed to successfully complete each project
Coordinate with the Sales team, General Manager and Scheduling Coordinator on scheduling, project management and project delivery;
Foster strong working relationships with team members and customers to achieve the project goals and vision;
Maintain open communication with customers, team members and other various stakeholders, responding to inquiries as required;
Work closely with the crews and the equipment maintenance coordinator to maintain equipment through proper cleaning and preventative maintenance
Take steps to minimize any project risk and ensure that all work is performed according to health and safety standards.
Assist with the Human Resources of crews; hiring, onboarding, training and reviews
Other ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years' experience in fence construction
Strong knowledge of grading/layout, all forms of fence installations (chainlink, ornamental, wood and PVC), and installation of gates (both manual and automatic)
Demonstrated experience operating heavy equipment used for fence installation
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead strong, collaborative teams
Strong understanding of constructions plans/blueprints
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate a smartphone/tablet
Valid driver's license and the ability to meet travel requirements of the position
