POSITION:
Production Supervisor - Gluten Free


REPORTS TO:
Bakery Manager


SHIFT:
Sunday to Thursday (3:00am to 11.30am)


We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Production team This role is responsible for supervising production operations within the area of control to ensure compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, production standards, and efficient operations of equipment.

EXPERIENCE

  • You have at least 35 years of relevant experience working in a similar capacity, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
  • You have relevant education, including Supervisory and Leadership related training
  • You have experience with operational health & safety programs
NICE-TO-HAVE

  • Experience and/or education in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma
  • APICS certification
  • THINGS YOU WILL DO
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training for all team members in order to develop a fully qualified, quality conscious workforce that produces world class product for the customer
  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, preparing shift reports and updating production KPI's daily
  • Fulfill people management duties, including attendance management, compliance with safety regulations, performance management, conflict resolution, and related tasks
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization prior to a run
  • Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and ensure employee compliance with standards

OTHER

  • Available to work flexible shifts, holidays, weekends, and be oncall
  • Shifts available:
  • Early morning shift starting at 3 AM

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:


  • Supervises production operation within area of control to ensure compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, production standards and efficient operations of equipment
  • Provides counseling, coaching, and training for all team members in order to provide a fully qualified, quality conscious workforce that produces world class product for the customer
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products; prepare a Daily Shift Report at the end of each shift and update production KPI's daily at the end of the shift
  • Manages employee's attendance through system and review/approve hours worked
  • Supervise staff safety to ensure they are working within safe work procedures
  • Take appropriate action to correct the employee's performance and/or behavior
  • Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization prior to a run
  • Investigate and identify line issues, while initiating possible resolutions and preventative measures
  • Develops or revises
