Job Summary:


As
Manager for our
Technical Services team located at the
Laval site, your role consist in plan, manage and coordinate staff and/or project tied to improvements in efficiencies, quality, cost controls and training for all technical operational activities.

In this role,
responsibilities may include

  • Oversee the daily operation of the support areas
  • Assess staffing requirements. Maximize the utilization of all technical personnel
  • Assist in the development and recommendations of departmental budgets. Maintain budgets for all designated areas to meet or exceed site objectives
  • Implement training and methods to ensure that they meet or surpass industry and company expectations, focusing on animal and employee welfare
  • Provide leadership to direct others in solving complex problems

Key Elements:

We are looking for the following
qualifications for this role:

  • Education in Biology, Animal Science, Biotechnology or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a contract research environment
  • 25 years in managerial capacity
  • Indepth understanding of GLP regulations
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Detail oriented and meticulous
  • Excellent ability to efficiently manage people, time and resource
  • Understanding of English is mandatory. Bilingualism in French and English is preferred.

Role Specific Information

Location:
Laval / Shuttle service between Montmorency metro station and Laval site, Free parking

Schedule:
Work schedule requires flexibility as per job requirements
Permanent position as of the hiring, full time 37.5hrs per week

Each year approximately 120 investigational new drug (IND) programs are conducted in our Safety Assessment facilities.
