Assistant Store Manager - Richmond, Canada - Jimmy Choo

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Act as a strong brand representative in the community
- Maximize sales and provide exceptional customer management:
- Establish and implement Action Plans in agreement with the Store Manager in order to develop sales for each product category and client segment
- Support the achievement of business goals and strategic projects keeping in constant connection with Corporate functions
- Ensure the implementation of CRM initiatives to develop a clientele network for the store
- Ensure superior visual presentation:
- Assist the Store manager in ensuring the correct interpretation and implementation of visual guidelines keeping store employees up to date about visual directives
- Take care of the general look of the store / departments in terms of cleanness, tidiness and efficiency in order to ensure the best image of products and store in line with the brand's communication and promotion strategy
- Effectively manage / assist with the management of store operations:
- Support the Store Manager in the effective economical and operational management of the store in compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Support the adequate integration and optimization between front and backoffice by ensuring appropriate store resources and floor / zone coverage are in place to drive sales and maintain customer focus
- Support the maintenance of stock and inventory accuracy
- Be prepared to fulfill all store functions within the fourwalls of the facility (e.g., develop and maintain working knowledge of all "back of house" activities)
- Ensure that all store manuals, policies and procedures, etc. are current
- Proactively identify future opportunities and risks
- Manage implementation and execution of all company initiatives within the store
- Assist Store Manager in the recruiting, retention, supervision, training and development of staff
- Build positive morale in store
- Manage and maintain effective communications with Store Manager
- Assist with planning and coordination of instore meetings
- Manage and maintain Mall / Center / Community relationship (where and as appropriate)
- Assess competition
- Fulfill other miscellaneous responsibilities directly related to the above description and possess the flexibility to adjust with any changes in the business as the company grows
- Hold accountability for business performance:
- Achieve individual sales targets and inspire / motivate others to achieve goals
Skills and Experience:
Exceptional customer focus and client relationship management abilities
Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to translate corporate objectives into store-level strategies to drive performance
Proven ability to drive sales teams / produce results
Strong market and industry knowledge (including competitor awareness, trends, etc.)
Strong abilities to work with various cross-functional teams (corporate and store level)
Excellent understanding of merchandising tools and techniques
Very strong people management skills (including staffing, coaching, counseling, training and development)
Demonstrated talent / ability to inspire, lead and motivate others
Ability to give (and receive) constructive criticism
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written in English (other relevant languages are highly beneficial - will depend on region)
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Excellent organizational skills
Strong Financial acumen and ability to manage the store's financial operations, from goal setting to tracking performance against budgets and KPIs
Knowledge of retail math and cash management techniques
Good knowledge and understanding of inventory management at the store level
Proficient with standard office and retail environment equipment (phones, cash registers, security / surveillance systems etc.) and technologies (POS, CRM, etc.)
Intermediate MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook skills
Minimum of 2-3 years of retail experience, preferably in a managerial role in a similar high-end related field (luxury footwear / apparel industry desired)
College degree (business field is preferred)
