You will report to Procurement Specialist and be accountable for:

  • Embody CIMS corporate values by fostering a professional and respectful workplace culture, while actively encouraging collaboration, innovation, and engagement among team members.
  • Assist the Procurement Specialist in various daytoday tasks, providing necessary support to ensure efficient operations within the procurement function.
  • Take charge of contract administration processes, overseeing agreements between parties to ensure clarity, legal compliance, and effective execution.
  • Ensure that all contracts are meticulously managed and monitored to mitigate risks and optimize outcomes for all involved parties.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and resolving any issues that may arise during the contract lifecycle.
  • Possesses 5+ years of robust experience in contract administration or a closely related field, demonstrating proficiency in managing contractual agreements.
  • Exhibits a comprehensive understanding and handson involvement in heavy industrial maintenance and construction projects within sectors including Pulp & Paper, Oil & Gas, Mining, Petro-Chemical, and Renewable Energy.
  • Demonstrates a successful track record in negotiating contracts, showcasing adeptness in securing favorable terms and agreements.
  • Holds a proficient understanding of contract law, regulations, and codes, ensuring adherence to legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Possesses advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, providing valuable proficiency in data analysis and management.
  • Showcases exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, enabling effective interaction across all organizational hierarchies.
  • Demonstrates the capacity to effectively manage multiple concurrent activities and deliver timely responses in a dynamic, fastpaced environment.
  • Proves adept at fostering collaborative relationships with various stakeholders, including union labour, project managers, and other relevant disciplines, to achieve project objectives efficiently.

Your success in this role will be measured by:

  • Compliance: Ensuring all contracting activities adhere to corporate Supply Chain Management policies, relevant laws, and regulations.
  • Contract Management: Efficiently handling the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to closeout, including drafting, analyzing, negotiating, and administering contracts.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with contracts, proposing modifications as necessary.
  • Communication: Effectively communicating with internal stakeholders and external parties to facilitate smooth contract processes and provide guidance on contract terms.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for enhancing contract management processes and contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
