Job Description:

We currently have an opening for a
Construction Field Inspector in our
Vancouver office.

You will join our vibrant team of Professional Engineers and Technologists on construction inspection projects throughout British Columbia and Western Canada.

You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of projects for a varied client base including the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Municipalities, and private sector clients.

Duties include the following:

Monitoring the Contractor's operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, design specifications, and drawings
Monitoring progress and schedules
Preparing daily & weekly reports
Maintaining projects records and site diaries
Reviewing contractor work procedure submissions
Monitoring of quality control testing
Reviewing onsite quantities
Contract Administration

You will have the opportunity to engage in a collaborative work environment, working with a team, as well as other disciplines and offices, and grow your role and responsibilities over time.

Job Requirements:

05+ years in Contract Administration and Site Inspection.
Undergraduate degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited postsecondary institution considered an asset.
Experience on transportation projects, with specific experience in roadway improvements.
Familiarity with road/bridge construction materials, methods, and process.
Committed team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction when required.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
Ability to work within tight deadlines and schedules.
Demonstrates interpersonal and organizational skills.
Willingness to travel throughout the province.
Valid driver's license required. This position requires use of personal vehicle in good working order to be used occasionally for business use, for which there is reimbursement.
