Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Labourer for a high-volume distribution warehouse and yard in Burnaby, BC. You take ownership of order picking, shipping, receiving, equipment documentation, general warehouse cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities:

Perform all functions related to shipping and receiving
Prepare and document project material orders for shipment
Inspect and document incoming equipment returned from projects
Document incoming purchase orders for shipping discrepancies
Preform minor maintenance and repair of project related items
Ensures regular organization and maintenance of storage facilities
Perform general office duties, and maintain workspaces

Qualifications:

Capable of physically demanding work and standing for extended periods
Ability to safely lift 55lb on a regular basis
Strong written and oral communication skills
Basic familiarity with construction tools and equipment
Capable of multitasking and prioritize duties as required
Experience operating forklifts, pallet movers and other material handling equipment
Willingness to occasionally work overtime during peak seasons
Valid BC driver's license (Class 5 minimum)
Must meet preemployment drug & alcohol testing requirements

Work Conditions

Fulltime position working 40 hours per week with occasional overtime as needed

This role requires working in a warehouse and outdoors in all weather conditions
