***: This position is responsible for preparing electronic design drawings, fixture plans, construction details and all necessary drawings used for internal presentation, corporate approval, tendering and permits and construction execution.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare preliminary design layouts, fixture plans and design details for internal review and presentation to client
Prepare final fixture plans, décor drawings and both standard and sitespecific design details for new stores, expansions, and renovations to existing stores.
Assemble and organize hard copies and electronic sets of project drawings to be used for permits, tenders, approvals, and construction
Prepare sample boards and presentation boards to be used for various purposes
Manage both the technical library and product sample inventory
Manage the electronic drawing filing system for both active and archived projects
Other duties as assigned
Ensure projects are completed in compliance with Company policy and procedures meeting any applicable laws and regulations
Occasional local Stores visit and sites where major projects are being considered to familiarize oneself with the site condition, limitations and opportunities

EFFORT AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working condition is in an office environment
Draftsperson generally work a standard workday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Occasional overtime may be required when workload is increased. Overtime hours to be compensated upon approval
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Diploma in Architectural Technology, Interior Design, or an equivalent postsecondary education
Minimum of 2 years of Drafting experience preferably in the retail design sector
Ability to manage multiple projects and achieve deadlines
Must be proficient (advanced) in AutoCAD
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, to all levels of management, vendors, and outside organizations
Selfmotivated, highly organized, and good time management skills required to remain efficient and effective within all facets of the position
Must have an intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Applications, basic understanding of SAP is an asset
Detail oriented
Quality and accuracy are critical
Basic understanding of OBC applicable laws and regulations
Valid Ontario driving licence
