Job Description:

What you'll be doing


When you join our Career Programs team as a Summer Associate in the Graduate Leadership Development Program (GLDP), you will join a team that continues to push CIBC as the market leader in making our clients' ambitions a reality.

The GLDP Summer Associate role offers you an opportunity to pursue a 4-month internship with significant flexibility to create your own experience that aligns with your personal and professional development goals.

Your summer internship will be spent in any line of business at the bank


This includes teams within:
Personal and Business Banking, People, Culture and Brand, Enterprise Innovation, Commercial Banking, Risk Management and many others.

Based on your interest and business needs, GLDP Summer Associates will take on roles similar to Product Owner, Product Manager, Project Manager, Consultant, Credit Analyst or similar.


You will also have access to your Summer Placement Manager, Program Manager and Peer Mentor to advance your professional development by receiving tailored career guidance.

You will be part of a vibrant community of talented professionals who are part of the full-time GLDP and will be part of your network as you commence your internship at CIBC.

The various internal GLDP committees will provide you with an opportunity to pursue your interests and passion projects while simultaneously contributing to the development of the GLDP community.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.

You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview.


How you'll succeed- You a student, currently enrolled in a Master's Program with an expected graduation date in 2023 or You have a minimum of 3 years' work experience.- Applications should include your resume (no more than 2 pages) and cover letter (no more than 1 page).

  • Work Location: Toronto. Please note all employees must work within their current jurisdiction and must reside within Canada. All CIBC Internship positions require you to be based in Canada for the duration of the term.
