Description

Scope of Position


To provide administrative support to the CUSW Education & Training department to facilitate the carrying out of their duties and responsibilities to the Membership, as well as provide services to the Membership through the Head Office.


Key Objectives or Responsibilities

Objective # 1:
To ensure the issues and concerns of the Membership are addressed in a timely, courteous, and effective manner.


Objective # 2:

To ensure that the administrative functions generated by the business of the Trust and Education & Training Trust Administrator/Trustees are fulfilled within the required time frame.


Objective # 3:

To work as a valuable contributing team member within the self-directed team that is charged with the mandate to carry out the successful administration of the services the Trust provides to the Membership.


Objective # 4:

To ensure that the processes, procedures, and technologies in place adequately address the present needs of the Trust and further, that these processes, procedures, and technologies evolve in pace with the changing dynamics of the members and their Administrators/Trustees and through the execution of these tasks, to suggest and implement improvements.


Skills and Qualifications
The responsibilities of the Administrative Professional include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responding to the inquiries of the membership and providing the information needed in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.
  • Prioritize and coordinate with all stakeholders to meet deadlines.
  • Working with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Document minutes of meetings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Management of financial operations including budget planning and implementation, bookkeeping, payroll, banking, investment oversight, daytoday expenses and software associated with these functions.
  • Ability to work as part of a selfdirected team and to both identity and achieve daily, weekly, monthly and annual objectives with little direct oversight and direction.
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Past experience working in roles that were highly client facing and customer service oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments (e.g. restructuring or introduction of new technologies).
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with reportgenerating software and document management systems.
  • Flexible and prepared to cross train/learn the tasks associated with other administrative areas in the selfdirected team.
  • Have a mindset of cooperation and collaboration to foster a positive work environment.
  • Have a mindset for creativity and innovation.

Job Requirements

  • University Degree/College Diploma (all disciplines will be considered).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant at a senior level.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with Windows and MS Office.

Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months


Pay:
$1,511.17 per week

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:


  • Front desk: 3 years (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 3 years (preferred)

Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON
