Automotive Plastic Repair Trainer - Mississauga, Canada - Assured Automotive Collision

The Plastic Repair Trainer at Assured Automotive is responsible for overseeing the technicaldevelopment and skill enhancement of Plastic Repair Technician trainees in plastic repair
techniques.
The trainer will assess new trainee progress, facilitate training sessions, manage certifications,
and contribute to the overall growth and success of the Plastic Repair Technician program in
their region working under and reporting to the Director of Training and support.
This role requires a strong background in mentorship, training, and communication. Previous
experience with collision repair and plastic welding is preferred, but not required. We will provide
comprehensive coaching and will "train the trainer" to set you up for success.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Undertake advanced plastic repair and leadership training program
- Set up and maintain training hubs, tools, equipment and materials for multiple trainees
- Manage training cores
- Perform trainee quality control and process on training jobs
- Share assessment reports and observations with management
- Assist in placement and onsite support to certified trainees
- Deliver and document the progress of the Plastic Repair Technician curriculum
- Follow the training curriculum that the Plastic Repair Technician Program outlines to
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Trade/Vocational school graduates preferred
- Some onthejob experience is preferred
- I-CAR Gold Class preferred
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Computer knowledge or willing to take training to become proficient in the following:
○ Google Hangout/meet-other platforms video calls
○ Drive file system
○ Google slides
○ Document creation and editing
- Nice to have a Plastic Welding certification
- Mentoring and hands on training delivery experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Travel up to 30%
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods during vehicle repairs.
- Physical flexibility to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Clear close vision and effective use of hands for handling vehicle parts.
- Capability to read and understand work orders

Pay:
$70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
