Medical Office AssistantDuties:
Greet and check-in patients, verifying their information and insurance coverage
Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member
Assist with patient registration and intake process
Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies
Assist healthcare providers with procedures and treatments as needed
Process billing and insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
Manage inventory of office supplies and order as needed
Assist with medical billing
Consistently reviewing medical clinic environment and policies and procedures
Handle patient concerns in a professional and timlely manner
Proven abilty to supervise a team effectively
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experienced Medical office Assistant to oversee daily operation of our Medical office.
Must have 3-5 years of experience in health care
Certification in medical office assistant. High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and processing paperwork
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
