    The role

    :

    If you have an Engineering degree or diploma and are interested in delivering systems/projects to completion, the Commissioning Engineer/Technologist role at Saltworks might be for you.

    As a Commissioning Engineer/Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of our systems by:

  • Working closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) and other Engineering teams to support the entire commissioning project lifecycle. Including:Developing and implementing efficient and standardized procedures for factory and site commissioning, while enhancing our cutting-edge industrial desalination and resource recovery plants.Engaging in detailed commissioning planning.Testing and commissioning innovative clean technology solutions.
  • Representing Saltworks at customer job sites to deliver high-quality system/plant commissioning and ensuring a seamless handover to customers (regular international travel will be required).
  • Bringing forward design feedback, driving continuous improvement and innovation within our engineering teams.
  • Opportunities to become a subject matter expert, enabling you to keep and expand technical skills while also developing project management skills (with full management support).
  • On average, your work will be 50% at customer sites and 50% at our headquarters. Field shifts generally require 2-3 weeks at site, followed by a similar time at headquarters. Further afield locations may require longer periods at site.

    You will be a great fit if you have:

  • No travel constraints: You must have a valid passport and be able to travel to customer sites internationally.
  • A relevant Engineering degree or diploma in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Controls, or Integrated.
  • 2-3 years of relevant post-graduation working experience as an Engineer/Technologist in an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards pertaining to mechanically and electrically energized systems.
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality commissioning work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience in hydrostatic testing, mechanical and electrical commissioning, process control commissioning, and field commissioning.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure commissioning processes are safe.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills, adept in risk management, and an excellent troubleshooting mindset.
