Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish together


As a Wellbeing Coordinator (Medical Office Assistant) for the Mental Health division of TELUS Health Care Centres, you will provide excellent client care by assisting the medical and professional staff in managing client activity.

You will develop strong relationships with other health care providers in the community including Mental Health Care Providers and general practitioners.

To this end, you will work together with support staff, Psychologists, Social Workers, Clinical Counsellors and other specialists to build one-on-one relationships that will facilitate ongoing communications and cross-referrals.


Here's how

  • Scheduling appointments and arranging for specialist consultations
  • Preparing clients for consults
  • Updating medical records
  • Contacting clients to remind them of required tests and follow up consultations
  • Participating in the company's mental health plan programs
  • Connecting with clients, supporting individualized care
  • Provide support for general office administrative functions including medical records management

Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle

Experience / Knowledge

  • Minimum of one year of medical office experience preferable in a private entrepreneurial environment
  • Minimum two years of healthcare experience and medical terminology greatly preferred
  • Experience in Mental Health would be an asset
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required

Skills and Abilities

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and some knowledge of Google Workspace
  • Exceptional organizational and customer service skills
  • A team player capable of interacting professionally with staff and Health Care provides with a positive attitude
  • Ability to handle and communicate effectively with challenging clients
  • Bilingualism in French and English required to support our clients needs
