- Current certificate of registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Must be compliant with College of Nurses quality assurance standards
- Current B.C.L.S Certification essential, on hire
- I.V. therapy (peripheral & central)

- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
- Demonstrated good communication, organizational and time management skills
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
- Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job, as per current Physical Demands Analysis
- Must meet expectations for appropriate, respectful and professional conduct, as set out in the GBGH Code of Conduct
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an inpatient setting
- Demonstrated experience working independently within a team setting
- Critical thinking and demonstrated decision-making skills
Assets: - Completion of Physical Assessment of Adult Patient course
- 2 years' experience on a Complex Continuing Care, Rehabilitation and/or Palliative Unit
- Excellent physical assessment skills / strong assessment skills for physical, emotional & spiritual needs
- Palliative care or hospice training courses
- Computerized Documentation (i.e. Meditech)
- Bilingual - English and French
