Rate of Pay:
$ $28.96 per hour

**Reporting to the Manager, Palliative & Transitional Care Services, the Staffing Clerk is accountable to provide staffing support to the St. Joseph's Hospital inpatient and outpatient areas for all staffing functions including but not limited to creating and maintaining established schedules, and ensuring staff coverage on all shifts, vacations and leaves of absences in accordance with relevant Collective Agreements.


Qualifications:


Education/Experience:


  • Diploma in office administration or related administrative program

Skills/Abilities:


  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers, and program staff, and customers
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Must be at a basic skill level in word processing and spreadsheet software; must be proficient in data entry with the ability to maintain a high degree of speed and accuracy
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties of the job
  • Ability to use independent judgment and maintain confidentiality of records, actions, and information

Assets:


  • Experience with StaffRight scheduling software
  • Knowledgeable of SJCG programs and services

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
