We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Optometric/Optician Assistant to join our team at The Eyeglass Shoppe.

As an Optometric/Optician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our Optometrist and ensuring our boutique runs smoothly.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Greet and assist patients with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
• Prepare patients for examinations and tests.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality.
• Assist with preliminary vision tests.
• Optical Services:
• Help patients choose eyeglass frames and lenses.
• Educate patients on lens options and care.
• Adjust and repair eyeglasses as needed.
• Ensure our optical area is clean and organized.
• Administrative Duties:
• Handle appointment scheduling and followup calls.
• Manage patient billing and insurance claims.
• Assist with reception tasks, including answering phones and addressing inquiries.
• Shipping and Inventory:
• Receive and organize eyeglass shipments.
• Track inventory and assist with restocking frames.
• Keep accurate records of frame inventory.
• General Duties:
• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the boutique.
• Assist in basic housekeeping tasks to ensure a pleasant environment for patients.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth operation of the boutique.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an Optometric Assistant is a plus.
• Knowledge of eyeglass frames and lenses is beneficial.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Organized, detailoriented, and able to multitask.
• Basic computer skills for administrative tasks.
