Scope


Are you someone who enjoys pickleball and would like to share your knowledge of the sport with others? Do you have outstanding leadership, encourage sportsmanship, and promote individual growth.

Do you have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a culturally diverse community setting.


Responsibilities:


Instructor will be responsible for planning and leading weekly pre-registered pickleball programs for youth and adults as well as supervising and facilitating learn to play drop-in sessions.

Knowledge and experience playing/instructing pickleball to beginners and intermediate recreation players in a positive and inclusive environment.

Leadership skills including ability to model appropriate behaviors and demonstrate sound judgment while creating a positive, enthusiastic & fun environment.

The ability to adapt to varying on court skill levels, have an engaging and enthusiastic personality with a professional manner.

Report safety hazards and respond to First Aid incidents as they arise.


Qualifications:

NCCP Coaching Certification Level 1 or higher preferred
Current First Aid and CPR/AED Certificate.
Previous Coaching experience preferred.
Police Information Check/Vulnerable Sector Check (required)
PHCD for Older adults

Hourly Rate:
$20.50

Conditions of Employment

This position requires completion of a Police Information Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
