Job Descrption:


Key Responsibilities:

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools, while working alongside robotic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the project.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Build and install structures such as partitions, walls, roofs, decks, and flooring, using various materials including wood, steel, and concrete.
• Collaborate with robotic systems and follow established safety procedures to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Install windows, doors, and fixtures as per project requirements.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, ensuring a safe and clean work environment both onsite and in controlled indoor settings.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a Carpenter Framer or similar role, with comprehensive experience in wood framing, flooring, roof trusses, joists, and Ibeams.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Ontario building code.
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools, including tape measures and framing squares.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Keen eye for detail and excellent handeye coordination.
• Good understanding of basic math and geometry, with the ability to calculate angles and measurements accurately.
• Strong problemsolving abilities, with a focus on adhering to safety regulations and working efficiently with automation.

Preferred but Not Required:

• Experience in prefabricated or modular construction.
• Experience with helical piles.
• Experience with pouring concrete foundations.
• Experience with operating construction equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other related machinery.

Additional Information:

• The position is primarily indoors in a controlled environment, with occasional onsite work required.
• Familiarity with working alongside automated systems and robots is a plus.
