Rockport's scale fabric technologies have disrupted the 30-year-old centralized switching model limiting innovation in High Performance Computing (HPC). Now we're taking on static systems with composable infrastructure for demanding HPC and AI workloads.


DevOps Specialist (19-month contract)


This is a long-term contract opportunity starting May 2023, to ensure ample transfer of knowledge and wrapping up in December 2024.


What you will do

  • Design, develop, enhance, and scale continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to build, test, and deliver loads to Engineering, QA, and our customers
  • Support and improve the environment, infrastructure, and processes in which builds, and automated testing are performed
  • Create tools to build and support automated provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance of robust, reliable, and highperforming infrastructure
  • Own software configuration management and release management activities and processes
  • Configure and maintain software vulnerability scanning
  • Support and maintain administration of critical software used across the organization
  • Design and improve disaster recovery strategy for various company assets
  • Secure products, tools, and processes by implementing and enforcing best DevOps and security practices
  • Contribute technical guidance relating to tools, processes, code design, approaches, and techniques
  • Work in conjunction with stakeholders to anticipate and manage build and process changes
  • Drive roadmap to improve existing DevOps to accommodate new product introduction and expansion of CI/CD

What you bring

  • 5+ years experience in a DevOps role with CI/CD
  • Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent technical degree
  • Strong experience administering Jenkins and scripting pipelines for continuous integration and build workflows
  • Strong programming skills in Bash and Python scripting languages
  • Solid experience working in a Linuxbased development environment and performing system administration
  • Proven experience performing software configuration management with Git
  • Experience performing administration and integration of Bitbucket and JIRA
  • Experience performing artifact management with Artifactory
  • Experience creating and maintaining virtual machines using VMWare ESXi and KVM
  • Experience with Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure and deployment automation and orchestration
  • Experience with Docker containerization is ideal
  • Understanding of networking concepts and networking tools, is considered an asset
  • Experience with Black Duck for software vulnerability scanning, is a bonus
