Description

Operating out of the FedEx Ground facility in Edmonton, the Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering and picking up parcels varying in size and weight up to 150 lbs within an assigned territory.

Perform pre-trip inspection of the vehicle, plan routes by using navigating the software, and gather trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel Use of specific electronic devices for recording the delivery/pick-up and capturing customer's signature.

This is a very fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and physically demanding tasks.

We are looking for reliable people, that will show up for work every day so the parcels on every run will be delivered.

Job Type / CategoryWork is Monday to Friday (some Saturdays may be required especially in peak time), Sunday and Statutory Holidays off.

The positions are full-time, with no shift work. Starting hours are flexible but the sooner you start the day, the sooner you finish.

We have drivers working 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; it's up to you but we expect all packages for the day to be delivered.

This job averages 110 stops per day.
Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
- at least 1 year of commercial driving experience accumulated within the past three years, driving vehicles one ton and up, on a full-time basis. - clean criminal record;
- clean driver's abstract;
- the capability of passing a basic driving test;
- a valid class 5 Alberta driving license;
- education: some high school/not required;
- language: fluent in English both verbal and writing; proficiency in customer service; receive and relay information to management.
