Construction Labour (Year-round Work) - ARCP

Atlantic Road Construction & Paving is a large heavy civil construction company specializing in heavy civil excavation and flatworks, pipeline placement, concrete placement and asphalt paving.

Although some of our operations are seasonal, there are several of our crews that continue working through the year on many of our long term projects.

We are currently looking to hire energetic, hard-working people to join our growing team & work through all four seasons with us.

We have a variety of positions available where you will have the opportunity to learn & develop new skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who like to stay active & work outside

Requirements:

Must be reliable, punctual and possess a positive attitude.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
Able to work as a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner.
Valid class 5 drivers license and/or reliable transportation to and from various worksites in the HRM preferred but not required for all crews.
Previous experience doing labour work in the construction industry is preferred, however we are willing to teach those without

Duties and Responsibilities:

Thoroughly inspect tools and equipment daily.
Participate in safety conscious activities such as tailgate meetings every morning.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all rules and regulations set forward by foremen.
Loading and unloading construction materials.
Perform a large variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour.
Possibility of working in confined spaces such as trenches, manholes, etc.
Other various construction related activities as instructed
