Over time, Frontier Transport Ltd. has grown beyond supporting internal company loads and now provides efficient and reliable freight services to outside customers. Our company values focus on _

  • Frontier Transport Ltd. currently has seven trucks and a range of flat decks, step decks, dry vans, and rolltite trailers, hauling a variety of goods across Canada. We are also a thirdparty logistics freight broker, actively brokering freight throughout North America._


We are looking for an experienced, self-motivating, energetic
General Manager who enjoys the challenges of working in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

Reporting to the senior management team, the General Manager (GM) will oversee operations and provide leadership to Frontier Transport Ltd


to:


  • Identify and achieve key profitability objectives while building a strong brand in the industry.
  • Be responsible for the overall performance of the company in terms of both operational excellence and efficiency, while ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Be responsible in developing and executing the business plan & the achievement of Key Performance Indicators in the areas of customer, financial, human resources, internal business processes, internal and external stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Design, plan, and manage all company resources to enhance value to all company stakeholders.
  • Seek out and explore opportunities to grow or evolve the business by collaborating with customers, other transport companies, community, government, and other businesses.
  • Ensure customer obligations are met, and exceeded where possible, in regards to inbound and outbound deliveries, ontime arrivals, and quality standards.
  • Champion and drive a culture of safe operations and ensure that national transport regulations are being followed.
  • Be responsible for driving and motivating all business units toward the accomplishment of business plans, and key profitability indicators.
  • Enhance the internal culture by providing mentorship, training, recognition, and support to retain employees.

Required Education and Experience:


  • Post Secondary coursework in business, logistics or similar;
  • 4+ years in the transport industry;
  • 4+ years business operations management experience;
  • 4+ years sales (inside and outside sales experience) and business development experience;
  • Class 1 driver's license is an asset;
  • Familiarity with GPS and logging devices;
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office: MS Word, MS Excel;
  • Experience using Axon or similar software is an asset;
  • Copy of driver's license and a drivers abstract;
  • Clear Criminal Record Check.
