Go Industries is looking for a reliable and hardworking

Sheet Metal Technician who will be responsible for installations for our client's commercial, industrial, and residential customers.

The Opportunity.
We are looking for an experienced full-time

Sheet Metal Technician to join our prestigious heating and cooling client's team. This is a full-time opportunity with plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:

Proficient ability to install but not limited to HVAC units, gas piping (high/ low pressure, welded) flashings, exhaust fans, kitchen hoods, grease ducts, ductless split units, radiant heaters, and respective supportive frameworks.
Must understand new construction home ductwork and be able to compete from conception to completion.
All finished jobs must adhere to the project manager/engineer drawings for the heat loss reports.
Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal assemblies.
Measure, mark dimensions, and lay out the material to be installed and select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications.
Fasten joints and seams in sheet metal with TDC, Cleats, bolts, and welded joints.
Ensure that efficiency is maximized while installing HVAC systems in a fastpaced environment.
Startup and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
Ensure making safety a priority on the job during all activities, including while using tools, installing, and fabricating duct systems.
Good housekeeping and organization.
Work well independently.

Qualifications:

Registered for 308 A apprentice.
A G2 Gas license is a bonus.
Valid G license with a clean driver abstract.
Commercial and industrial experience is an asset.
Must be competent in reading blueprints and electrical and electronic schematics.
Must have basic knowledge of construction methods.
Must be able to operate tools, gauges, and other testing equipment for HVAC systems.
