The Role


The Business Development Representative will play an integral role in facilitating business growth through negotiations, contract management, and customer relationship building.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, basic transactional and legal acumen, and excellent interpersonal skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage customer relationships for business transactions, partnerships, and contracts.
  • Identify, contact, and generate new relationships.
  • Draft, review, and modify contracts and agreements to protect the company's interests.
  • Attend conferences and industry events as needed, including international travel.
  • Manage and deepen relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Travel to meet clients when required.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support project needs and relationships.
  • Develop a deep understanding of market trends, competitors, and customer needs in the lithium market.
  • Generate reports, maintain CRM and provide insights for management decisionmaking.
  • Other related duties as applicable from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Law, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or contract management.
  • Demonstrated clear communication skills with a focus on strategy and negotiation.
  • Have significant experience in drafting and reviewing contracts for M&A and service providers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience with international markets is an asset.
  • Previous experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excell in Microsoft Office Suite products.
