The Greater Moncton International Airport Authority (GMIAA) is seeking a Seasonal Fleet Technician.

The Fleet Technician works as part of a team to repair and maintain the Airport snow removal equipment and fleet.

Currently seeking an individual to work full time hours for a seasonal position starting on November 15, 2023, and ending on April 15, 2024.

This position is responsible for maintaining various heavy equipment to ensure safe and available runways and surfaces throughout the airport.

This position is seasonal and requires working variable shifts and hours to facilitate winter operations.


Essential Functions

• Diagnose, repair, adjust, overhaul, maintain, and test Airport mobile heavyduty equipment
• Lifts equipment and supplies weighing up to 50lbs

Qualifications

• Certified Journey Person : Heavy Equipment Service Technician
• Valid Class 3 driver's license and air brakes endorsement
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance

This role is in Dieppe, New Brunswick. The role is based on a 37.5-hour workweek and starts at $34.04 per hour with availability for overtime.

This position is included in the collective bargaining unit (UCTE) for the GMIAA.
