We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team at Stinson Equipment.


Stinson is a full-service, traffic management and traffic safety company with three locations (Concord, Woodbridge, Gormley) in Ontario and has long been considered by those in the industry to be Ontario's leader for traffic safety products and services.

You have:


  • Postsecondary education in Accounting or a related field
  • Prior experience in financial analyst role or accounts receivable related role
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
  • Previous experience with Sage 300 (Accpac) and Sirius considered an asset
  • Familiarity with various Canadian Provincial tax rates such as HST and GST tax rates
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail

As an Accounting Specialist, you will:

  • Provide back up to Accounts Payable in processing recurring payables such as utilities, telephone, etc.
  • Prepare and post journal entries in the ERP system
  • Update reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Review company credit card transactions and determine proper coding of expenses
  • Provide support for ERP improvement projects
