We are looking for a
Food & Beverage Server/Event Server

POSITION DETAILS:


  • Shifts: include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Embrace the hotel's Food & Beverage Standards and its Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Exceed the expectations of all guests (both internal and external) through empowerment and by responding attentively, efficiently, and politely to all requests.
  • Help create a positive work environment through teamwork and cooperation with peers and team leaders.
  • Actively participate in monthly departmental communication meetings.
  • Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by reporting all safety hazards, following WHMIS and Fire Safety training, and working in a safe manner.
  • Contribute to the financial success of the department through breakage/equipment control
  • Ensure cleanliness of the front and back of the house and ensuring the safety of guests

RESTAURANT RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Contribute to the overall financial success of the department through suggestive selling and upselling
  • May perform Relief Bartender duties on occasion
  • Other duties as assigned

BANQUET RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Interpret banquet event orders to ensure the proper set up, hospitable service and clearing of food and beverage while maintaining all standards.
  • Utilize creativity in the building and design of buffets and décor.
  • Meet and greet guests effectively. Serve banquet functions. Restock supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred
  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol; Knowledge of wine service is an asset
  • Responsible Beverage Server Certificate
  • Demonstrates exceptional guest service skills with a passion to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
  • Able to organize job tasks efficiently, be thorough and exact with details, provide quality guest service
  • Reliable and flexible to work varied shifts
  • Capable of handling a physically demanding workload, including lifting, or standing for long periods of time
  • Friendly, energetic, enthusiastic individual with a neat, professional appearance

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Part-time hours: 12-25 per week


Salary:
Up to $15.02 per hour
