Esg Intern - Vancouver, Canada - veritree
Description
veritree is a planting management platform developed by tentree, a restorative apparel company that plants trees for every item sold.
The technology that has powered tentree's tree planting is now accessible to other organizations who also want to help restore the planet through nature-based solutions.
As a new company, veritree aspires to follow in tentree's footsteps as a leader in sustainability, which requires creating data systems for nature-related disclosure reporting and tracking impact (and dependencies) within the veritree system.
We are looking for an ESG Intern to support these reporting initiatives, while simultaneously conducting research into how we can adequately support our corporate partners' reporting needs across multiple sectors.

- Using key learnings from tentree, you will assist with creating systems for veritree's sustainability data management including Life Cycle Analysis, BCorp certification and Climate Neutral Certified.
- You will help identify technology reporting and relevant disclosure pathways, such as GRI, CDP and SASB
- You will help identify which nature related impacts, dependencies, and risk assessments are needed for veritree's monitoring system, such as MCI, SBTN, CDP, Canopy and others
- You will assist with identifing any crossover related risks, dependencies and data needs from tentree, so that veritree can support reporting
- You will assess alignment between forest reporting systems such as , IUCN Barometer and other restoration reporting mechanisms for veritree.
