About the Role:

You will contribute by:

The following is a paraphrase of the primary functions and does not outline all of the duties and responsibilities for this position:

Shoot and produce quality visual material for various programs
Edit video and audio into quality news, sports and current affairs stories on a digital platform in the newsroom or at remote locations
Edit stories in a creative and technically accurate manner
Gather information from news source for anchor voice overs and stories
Responsible for shooting visuals and providing audio for remote live segments
Maintain the camera and editing equipment
Responsible for safely operating and maintaining a company vehicle
Transfer feed tapes to edit packs or work reel stories from other news services for use on air or for storage
Help maintain a reliable archival system and collaborate with editorial staff in seeking out video archives within the network system
Backfill for the Automated Control Room Director when needed

Skills and experience you will bring:

Bilingual in English and French
Postsecondary education in journalism, media, film production, or a related field
Demonstrated understanding of the rules and concepts of video recording
Demonstrated ability to shoot video and audio using broadcast video equipment to create, curate and develop content using digital operating systems for multiple platforms
Understanding of updating online and broadcast content with a content management system
Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Ability to work independently
Must work well under pressure and have a positive cando attitude
Ability to meet strict daily deadlines, and work cooperatively with others in a dynamic teamwork environment

Monter les histoires de manière créative et techniquement précise
Recueillir des informations à partir de sources d'actualités pour la narration
Entretenir la caméra et l'équipement de montage
Lecture d'histoires à partir de suites de montage d'actualités ou d'emplacements distants
Responsable de l'utilisation et de l'entretien sécuritaire d'un véhicule de l'entreprise

Les compétences et l'expérience que vous apportez:

Bilingue en anglais et français

- Études postsecondaires en journalisme, médias, production cinématographique ou dans un domaine connexe

Compréhension démontrée des règles et des concepts de l'enregistrement vidéo
Capacité démontrée à filmer de la vidéo et de l'audio à l'aide d'équipements vidéo de diffusion pour créer, organiser et développer du contenu à l'aide de systèmes d'exploitation numériques pour plusieurs plateformes
Compréhension de la mise à jour du contenu en ligne et diffusé avec un système de gestion de contenu
Doit posséder un permis de conduire valide et un dossier de conduite vierge
Capacité de travailler indépendamment
