- Coordinate daily production activities that meet the mine plan and to set goals for self and others to achieve this objective.
- Participate in managing operating costs, work schedules.
- Provide timely, accurate and well-communicated shift reports and summaries for cross-shift and turnaround needs.
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals - both within own department and cross-departmentally.
- Participate in maintenance and reliability improvement projects, PM development and improvement.
- Be highly effective in motivation, organization, time management and decision-making.
- Provide on-going coaching, feedback, and development suggestions to improve individual performance.
- Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum electrical inter-provincial trade certificate (Red Seal) and Supervisor Common Core
- A minimum of 5 or more years' experience in a mine/plant production environment including operating/maintenance experience in all areas of the mining activities. This includes 3 or more years of proven supervisory experience.
- Will understand and be familiar with Electrical Codes as well as CSA M421-00 codes as pertaining to underground mining electrical installations
- Ability to perform in a self-directed, fast paced, team environment
- The incumbent will demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.
- SAP experience and computer skills an asset
