What you'll do

Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • Acts as a strategic partner by seeking and leveraging different perspectives to bring together creative and relevant communication solutions that drive business impact for TJX Canada.
  • Liaises with communication platform vendor and partners with internal Systems teams to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Supports the human resources selfservice delivery model by increasing induvial Associate access to information and resources
  • Manages communication plans for business initiatives, projects, and daytoday operations.
  • Contributes content for key departmental or organizational meetings, including, but not limited to the State of the Company, management meetings, HR Conferences, etc.
  • Collaborates with HR teams and broader business teams to design and follow an annual communication calendar ensuring business alignment on messaging for key business initiatives and cyclical activities.
  • Manages the distribution of communications to partners in Stores, Distribution Centres, Regional Offices, Buying Offices, Corporate Offices, and Home Office.
  • Partners with Translation Services and global communication teams for timely delivery of global internal communications.
  • Audits and evaluates the success of internal communications through the analysis of monthly dashboard reports, pulse surveys, partner feedback, etc. to inform/guide future business strategy.
  • Partners with external vendors to deliver large scale communication events
  • Leads and manages a team of internal communications Associates, which includes full responsibility for hiring, development, training, performance objectives, performance reviews, coaching, and all matters of performance management.

What you'll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of internal communications experience; HR experience is an asset
  • Experience in intranet design, social media, and digital messaging
  • Experience with emerging AI technologies related to employee/Associate communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to read, write, communicate, and interpret information accurately
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout, and design skills
  • Accomplished storyteller
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills
  • Confident communicator and presenter
  • Strong problemsolving skills including the ability to respond to several different issues at once, at varying levels of ambiguity and complexity.
  • Seasoned collaboration skills with the ability to work with all levels of management to develop and build relationships with internal and external partners / team members
  • English/French bilingualism is an asset
  • Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro, Dreamweaver)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Infographics, Presentations, Flyers and Posters using a Visual Design
  • Whiteboard Animations and Explainer Videos
