Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in

Star Wars:
Squadrons to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space. Currently, we're working on two exciting projects, an original Iron Man action-adventure game and what's coming next for Battlefield.

Motive is looking for its next
Gameplay Animator, with a keen interest for third-person action animation, to join the gameplay team on our Marvel's Iron Man project.

You would be joining a team of animators who report to the Lead Gameplay Animator.


Responsibilities:


  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with designers and programmers to deliver high quality features for the game.
  • Author and implement animations for gameplay systems, with a heavy focus on action and body mechanics in an exaggerated style based on a realistic foundation.
  • Leverage motion capture data where possible, and enhance it to match the visual aesthetics of the project.
  • Implement your animations in existing inengine systems, and see it go all the way through by resolving any technical or aesthetic issues that may arise.
  • Provide feedback to other animators on the team and be part of brainstorming and problem solving conversations.
  • Work with technical animators to provide feedback on our tools and rigs and suggest potential improvements.
  • Promote communication and collaboration within the animation team.
  • Proactively looks for new opportunities to learn new methodologies and processes from peers and applies learnings to production workflows

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years animation experience
  • Credits on at least one AAA title.
  • Proficient in all relevant software such as Maya and Motionbuilder.
  • Experience working and iterating on gameplay systems inengine.
  • A demo reel that showcases examples of highquality keyframe animation and motion capture, highaction and body mechanics.
  • Unreal Engine experience is a plus.
