Purpose


Contributes to the overall success of Scotiatrust and MD Private Trust in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Support and participate in the development/sustainment/operations of the AML/QI/FATCA/CRS program within Scotiatrust and MD Private Trust
  • Support the root cause analysis on data issues and collaborate with stakeholders on remediation activities
  • Review of existing documentation to ensure programs are effective; track completion and remediation where required
  • Provide expertise and support to stakeholders on proper documentation and coding
  • Supports the development and monitoring of standards of fiduciary competence and risk management throughout the company.
  • Any other administrative or project based duties as required
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)

Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of AML/QI/FATCA/CRS regulations and requirements
