High Pointe Self Storage is a small Self Storage Facility in Medicine Hat, AB.

We are an established self-storage operator looking for energetic individual who pride themselves on providing outstanding customer service and have strong attention to detail to be the front face of our business.

As a team member, this position's primary responsibility is to provide sales and customer service excellence through best practices leading to customer retention, customer loyalty, and a continuous increase in customer satisfaction levels.

One of your main roles will be to work with our clients to find the very best solutions for their needs.

This could include finding the perfect unit size, providing information on how to properly pack and store items, and connecting them with movers and other resources.

You would also work with our existing clients to ensure that their storage experience is positive and memorable. Our goal is to 'help people create space in their lives'.

Our business uses technology extensively, so comfort using MS Office and web-based software would be an asset. Effective communication skills and the ability to work with a small team is essential.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the main facility during regular business hours, or as otherwise required (eg. emergency)
  • Assist customers with online storage questions and website use
  • Generate reports as required and requested by Management
  • Attend to banking and credit card transactions as required
  • Daily walks of the property to conduct site inspections for purposes of safety, security and cleanliness;
  • Receive third party vendor deliveries
  • Onboard new customers
  • Oversee process of customers vacating storage units
  • Complete daily cleaning of front office and back of house in main facility
  • Sweep and thoroughly clean vacated storage units in preparation for rental
  • Oversee retail inventory maintenance
  • Review and maintain safety and security procedures
  • Ability to open and closing property doors (up to 50lbs)
  • Other duties, as reasonably necessary for conduct of the daytoday operations of the storage business

Qualifications:


  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional telephone manner
  • High level of discretion regarding and an ability to handle confidential information;
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills are required
  • Ability to multitask and work while remaining calm, flexible and steadfast, with an eagerness to learn and develop
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Collaborative, resourceful, creative, and selfmotivated
  • Must be physically able to clean storage units and facility using vacuum, mops and cloths; shovel small areas when needed
  • General computer skills required
  • Experience with Storage Commander storage software not necessary, but considered a bonus
We are seeking employees who are available to work 2-3 days per week, including Saturdays. Our customers need us on weekends, so you've got to work some weekends. But we are as flexible as possible with scheduling to help you achieve a great work-life balance.


Our business hours are:

  • Tuesday
  • Friday: 10:00am 5:00pm (Closed from 1:00pm 2:30pm)
  • Saturday: 10:00am 2:00pm
  • Closed Sunday, Mondays, and Holidays

Job Type:
Part-time

$18.00 per hour
