As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated AP Clerk to join our dynamic team.

As an AP Clerk, you will play a crucial role in managing the accounts payable processes for our organization.

Your attention to detail, compliance with company policies and procedures, ability to meet deadlines and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records will be essential to your success in this role.


Responsibilities:


  • Process vendor invoices, verifying payment terms, accuracy and completeness of information
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation to ensure proper authorization and validation
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements, addressing discrepancies and resolving outstanding issues
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors
  • Collaborate with purchasing and receiving departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and resolve payment issues
  • Maintain organized and uptodate accounts payable files and records
  • Assist in monthend and yearend closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Monitor and manage vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries and resolving paymentrelated matters in a timely manner
  • Daily balancing of cash drawer and credit card processing
  • Assist in other accounting and financerelated tasks as assigned

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or relevant certification in Accounting or Finance is required
  • Proven experience as an AP Clerk or in a similar accounts payable role within the construction supply industry is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with construction industry invoicing and payment processes is an asset
  • Proficient in using accounting software Eg. Great Plains Dynamics and other relevant tools
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to process high volumes of invoices efficiently
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
