Hiring Unit:

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Men's Lacrosse - Head Coach, the technical specialist will be expected to assist the head coach in the implementation of performance and development initiatives that will help ensure the success of the Lacrosse student-athletes.

Expected to assist head coach with other related functions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain and distribute onfield team equipment.
Prepare practice and training equipment ahead of start times
Record activities and keep track of statistics during competitions and performances.
Recruitment of prospective studentathlete Lacrosse players
Adhere to the adminstrative rules, regulations and policies of the university and the league (RSEQ & CUMR) regulations
Activate fundraising initiatives that will support the Lacrosse's operational needs.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Lacrosse Coaching Experience
Prior coaching experience at an elite/competitive level
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, evaluation and planning skills
Strong desire and dedication to the development of the student athletes
Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Working hours will depend on the time and resources needed during different parts of the season
CPR and First Aid certifications
Knowledge of French and English. McGill University is an Englishlanguage university where daytoday duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience
