Overview:

This position is Wednesday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm. Schedule may vary based off business needs. Your own transportation is required as the casino does not have public transportation near.

Responsibilities:

The Host / Hostess ensures every guest is greeted in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner, and thanks guests as they are leaving the restaurant.

Essential Job Functions include:

Manage reservation system to retain guest preferences, preassigning seating when necessary
Welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible
Escort guests to the tables and assist in seating at tables, present menus and extend pleasantries
Offer a cordial farewell to every guest, thanking them for dining and invite them back
Communicates constantly with management and service staff to ensure efficient operations
Maintain positive relations with guests at all times
Maintain complete knowledge of scheduled daily activities, inhouse groups, daily house count, table/ seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, price range and dress code
Answer restaurant telephone courteously and efficiently
Speak to guests' and coworkers using clear, appropriate and professional language
Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
Engage guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings
Move and arrange tables, chairs, and settings and organize seating for groups with special needs with mínimal amount of disturbance to other guests.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift
Notify management of maintenance repair issues
Performs all other jobrelated duties as request.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

Must be at least 19 years old.
Performs duties which require bending & reaching.
Standing or moving, for up to 8+ hours.
Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
Maintains a wellgroomed appearance.
Follows all uniform guidelines.
Practicing all general safety & sanitation standards.
Recycling products, where possible.
Remaining calm in a hectic, fastpaced atmosphere.
Demonstrating a high level of organization, attentiontodetail and a senseofurgency.
Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and coworkers.
Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.

SKILLS

Must possess strong listening skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds or more.
Specific vision abilities that may be required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
