    What You'll Do

    As the Surface & Underground Technician, you will provide support and training for surface & underground sites and equipment. You will evaluate operations to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and standardization improvements. Other duties include:

  • In cooperation with the regional Operation Managers, develop and maintain active underground equipment/asset inventory, maintenance schedule, and critical spares inventory
  • Up to 60% Travel to various sites to troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment with assistance of on-site personnel
  • Coordinate with sites for preventative maintenance scheduled and inspections
  • Maintain focus on safety aspects of the operation, the customer, fellow workers and the public.
  • Complete and submit all documentation accurately and in a timely manner as instructed
  • Report all problems, accidents, incidents, issues of concern and unusual occurrences to management without delay
  • What We're Looking For:

  • High School Diploma required. Post high school technical training preferred
  • Preferred 5+ years working experience in surface and/or underground mining environment.
  • Some knowledge of safety, regulatory and environmental compliance as well as quality, maintenance, and training systems
  • Experience or familiarity with continuous improvement processes
  • Strong understanding and acceptance of responsibility for compliance to relevant regulations
  • Possess a valid driver's license and passport
