The Opportunity

  • Implement inventory controls to ensure inventory accuracy is upheld
  • Ensure the location, quantity, and status of all inventory is accurately reflected in the ERP
  • Develop systems and procedures for maintaining inventory that are both effective and efficient to administer
  • Implement and maintain physical systems to ensure proper storage and traceability of inventory through the operation
  • Perform regular cycle counts (floor to book, book to floor) of inventory in accordance with company standards
  • Lead the resolution of discrepancies between system and floor inventory counts, including root cause determination
  • Perform analysis and determination of material status in terms of Transfers, Backflushing, B.O.M. and "Where used" analysis
  • Physically inspect inventory, including physically lifting materials up to 30 lbs.
  • College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Supply Chain Management
  • Proven success in an Inventory Management role
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and/or material requirements planning (MRP) software
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures
  • Knowledge of computerized barcode inventory systems/accounting procedures
  • Working experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • A welldefined sense of diplomacy, including solid conflict resolution skills
