Addiction counsellor opportunity at House of Friendship providing both group and individual addiction counselling in a shelter environment.
+Responsibilities
- Substance use assessments and program screening intake completion discharge referral
- Develop treatment plan collaboratively with participant monitor evaluate participant progress develop accommodation plans for participants as needed develop implement evidence-based programming including creating promoting specialized workshops addressing needs of community individual group counselling delivered both in person virtually using eclectic therapeutic approach case management including case consultation treatment planning working collaboratively with external internal partners assess complex situations make appropriate decisions independently team crisis intervention risk assessment safety planning establish strong therapeutic rapport maintain appropriate professional relationships complete documentation data entry accordance agency legislative requirements maintain confidentiality compliance Personal Health Information Protection Act PHIPA participation involvement other programs Addiction Services broader agency activities work part team attending meetings trainings regular supervision meetings support onboarding training new team members commitment ongoing professional development training+
