What we'll love about you:
- Postsecondary degree or diploma in a related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in an Accounts Payable role
- Actively pursuing an accounting designation is an asset
- Experience in the construction industry is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and produce errorfree, highquality output
- Effective organizational and timemanagement skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization
- Problem solver with strong decisionmaking skills, who thrives in a fastpaced environment
- Ability and willingness to train and mentor junior staff
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software/platforms
What you'll work on:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Steelcon, you will work with our accounting department to ensure expenditures are accurate and accounting practices are standardized across the company, including processing payments, verifying invoices, and performing account reconciliations as needed.
Skills and experience in:
Reconcile intercompany Accounts Payable (A/P), Financial Statements, forecasting and budgeting, Accounting, compliance with financial policies and procedures, investigate, vendor integration, coding.
