Summary Champion Canada Modular Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a finance focused professional. This role will oversee and manage the Retailer Finance program for Champion Canada Modular Ltd. In this position one will need to be able to manage compliance, develop process improvement strategies, grow the program's approved retailer base, and build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.


Other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead the retailer financing program for Champion Canada Modular Ltd. including working with various lenders and Banks such as, but not limited to Northpoint Commercial Finance and Mitsubishi Capital.
  • Act as a liaison and main point of contact for participating financing companies including:
  • New Dealer Setups: Facilitate the onboarding process for new dealers with the preferred finance company or Bank ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Invoicing: Coordinate invoicing and payments with finance company.
  • Work very closely with dealers, finance companies and Banks credit personnel and sales teams.
  • Negotiating Repurchase Agreements and Programs. You will be responsible for engaging in negotiations with finance company or Banks to secure favorable terms for repurchase agreements, ensuring efficient and mutually beneficial agreements that align with the company's financial goals. Monitor and follow up for timely receipt of annual volume rebate where applicable.
  • Financial Programs: Develop and manage financial programs to support the manufacturing processes, collaborating with finance partner to potentially structure added collateral support.
  • Repurchase Issues: Address and resolve any repurchase issues promptly with the finance company or Bank maintaining a proactive approach to identifying potential challenges and implementing solutions to mitigate financial risks.
  • Attract retailers and implement the various finance programs offered by Champion to finance their inventory across Canada.
  • Manage programs within Focus Finance function including Standing Inventory, Pinpoint, and Flooring and Display Flooring.
  • Build strong relationships with potential new retailers while maintaining excellent customer service for current retailers. Relationships directly impact setting up new dealers, collaborating on resolutions, and obtaining repurchase obligations quarterly for DVR calculations.
  • Partner with internal management teams on reviewing potential retailer deals. Offer support and training to management teams as needed.
  • Provide final approval on all deals for internal teams prior to homes being built and shipped. Approval requirements include a review of the sales contract, invoice, any applicable legal documentation.
  • Responsible for completing registrations of conditional sales contracts and submitting all required notices per regulations.
  • Oversee retailer finance audit process and housekeeping expectations for adherence. As necessary, coordinate the collection of unpaid deals.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a fouryear college or university; or at least four years related applicable finance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have at least two years' experience in management and/or leadership. Experience with a similar Financial organization is preferred.

Travel Requirement:

Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time annually.
