MAINTENANCE LEAD - Pioneer Point Resort, Lakefield ON

Reporting to the Resort Manager, the Maintenance Lead will oversee and initiate maintenance and general repairs for the entire property and fulfill the company's responsibilities to its residents at Pioneer Point Resort.

What you will be doing:
- Customer Relations _
- Ensuring ongoing communication with Resort Manager and informing the manager of any and all pertinent activities within the resort
- Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and ensuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Personnel Management _
- Scheduling and managing seasonal staff and contractors
- Ensure all staff members understand standards and comply with company policies and procedures
- Lead for the Health & Safety Standards Program for seasonal staff
- Resort Operations_
- Promote an environment focused on customer experience
- Be a positive role model for staff and lead by example
- Facilitate and coordinate all maintenance, general repairs and usage of equipment. This includes maintenance and management of the sewer, water and electrical systems
- Assist in grass cutting throughout all common areas of the resort along with other maintenance tasks as requested by the Resort Manager.
- Facilitate all aspects of pool and Recreation Centre maintenance and cleaning, including daily pool chemical checks are completed
- Health and Safety_
- Ensure all property activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Ensure that all property facilities are maintained in safe condition
- Immediately notify management when operations are unsafe and/or beyond normal repair
- Ensure all employees are trained on the property safety procedures and are proficient in the use of its safety equipment
What you bring to the table:
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- ideally 2 years plus
- Must have valid G-Class driver's license; Clean Driver's Abstract required
- On-Call availability for sewer, water, and park emergencies
- Water operator and/or Pool operator certification an asset
- Able to work weekends, days, nights and callin emergencies

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
