The Strategic Sourcing Group (SSG) is a department within the Finance Group in TDBG. TD spends over $8 Billion each year with its vendors.

SSG's role, in collaboration with our business partners, is to create sustainable competitive advantage for TD by leveraging third party spend and the expertise of our key suppliers to meet our needs, reduce total cost and mitigate supply-related risks.

Our role is global in scope and we have just embarked on a journey within our department and more broadly across the organization to transform the way we do sourcing, purchasing and vendor management. There are over 200 people in SSG who are located in various TD locations across North America.

Job Description:

Support and contribute to sourcing activities as follows:
Assist in the development of RFXs and negotiation documents
Support the sourcing team in executing the RFI/RFQ/RFP bid process
Support the sourcing team within Sourcing tools and systems
Develop and conduct supplier pricing & evaluation analysis
Support the sourcing team in preparation for internal business and supplier meetings
Maintain effective relationships with internal/external business partners and/or suppliers.
Responsible for conducting eAuctions and setting up the Contract Compliance within the Ariba tool
Proactively engages with the Strategic Sourcing Functions and Purchasing Team to identify new opportunities to leverage purchasing tools and processes, and/or eAuction related buying strategies.

Contribute to demand management and value optimization analysis activities as follows:

Analyze and produce high quality category spend and savings analysis, compliance reports and commentaries
Research and analyze various category spend
Gather and analyze data relative to demand, spend and vendors to assist teams in making recommendation on vendor selection

Requirements:

Critical thinker with strong analytical, problem solving and attentiontodetail skills
Agility, flexibility, adaptability, a selfstarter with a cando attitude
Relationship/Stakeholder Management skills
Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written): comfortable and confident interacting with all levels of employees from various areas, in particular with business partners and TD Executives.
Strong people person and team player, with the ability to provide legendary customer experience to all members of SSG
Strong time management and organizational skills
Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously
Ability to react quickly and recognize priorities
Intermediate in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and/or other office tools
Previous SAP Ariba experience would be an asset
Undergraduate degree in business, economics and / or related work experience
