IT Support Analyst
Full-Time, Contract; Up to 12 months with potential for renewal

London, Ontario

The IT Support Analyst will provide front-line primary technical support to end-users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals.

They will also be responsible for responding to, documenting, and resolving service tickets in a timely manner. The IT Support Analyst must have excellent communication skills, problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve complex problem situations, or when appropriate, escalate or route them to appropriate IT staff members

WHAT WE'RE OFFERING:

What you'll be making - $ $25.71 per hour (Specialized Admin Grid).

  • The above are initial rates; with grid increases as per policy
-
When you'll work:

  • 70 hours over twoweek period, Monday to Friday 8:30am 4:30pm. Flexibility with work hours will be required as issues or projects arise; Additional On-Call duties, as per schedule.

HOW YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE:

  • Provide IT Helpdesk support to all staff
  • Resolve help desk issues including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Perform user administration duties
  • Troubleshoot and problemsolve related issues with hardware and software
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of all servers, when required
  • Assist with administration for the Intranet
  • Assist with maintaining and administering landline and mobile phone units
  • Assist Information Technology team in supporting system security (cameras, data backup) and review captured data for security breaches, as necessary
  • Assist in managing, supporting, and ensuring operation of all network servers including antivirus, access permissions, and ensuring securities are in place for users, setup/change/disable users, perform regular scheduled maintenance on equipment and systems when required
  • Maintain equipment inventory
  • Work in consultation with other programs and assist with IT functions
  • Providing group/individual updates and refresher training sessions on applicable software and develop training handbooks, as needed
  • Provide the necessary support, equipment, and training for new employees
  • Identify opportunities and recommend solutions that will enhance business processes
  • Assist or lead projects or special initiatives, as assigned

We require the following qualifications:

_**- Post-Secondary education, or in progress education in Computer Systems Technology, Business and Information Systems Architecture, Information Technology Infrastructure, or equivalent.

an original degree/diploma/certificate or official transcript; for ongoing education, an unofficial transcript will be accepted)

  • Current clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle is an asset
  • Ability to attend work regularly

We prefer the following qualifications:
_**- Experience providing support and implementation of an organization's hardware, software, network and operating systems, and workstation and network security

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Familiarity with incident ticketing systems and use of remote support/control tools
  • Experience with project management
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with server virtualization
  • Familiarity/experience with asset management tools, systems, and concepts
  • Knowledge of landline and mobile telephones
