Description
Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions.
  • Filing government remittances and installments including GST, PST, EHT, Income Tax and WCB.
  • Preparing financial and operational reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information from accounting and POS software.
  • Reconciling monthly credit cards, bank accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Generating monthly financial reports including Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
  • Preparing bank deposits.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable aging and discuss problem accounts with managers.
  • Reviewing and approving accounts payable cheque runs.
  • Providing support for payroll and accounts payable staff.
  • Yearend adjustments and tasks.

Bookkeeper Qualifications / Skills:

  • Experience with Quickbooks Online.
  • Familiar with Canadian Payroll Compliances and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles under ASPE.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent English communication skills.

$30.00-$34.00 per hour

Education:


  • Secondary School (required)

Experience:


  • QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)
