Description
Bookkeeper Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Maintaining records of financial transactions by establishing accounts and posting transactions.
- Filing government remittances and installments including GST, PST, EHT, Income Tax and WCB.
- Preparing financial and operational reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information from accounting and POS software.
- Reconciling monthly credit cards, bank accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Generating monthly financial reports including Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
- Preparing bank deposits.
- Monitoring accounts receivable aging and discuss problem accounts with managers.
- Reviewing and approving accounts payable cheque runs.
- Providing support for payroll and accounts payable staff.
- Yearend adjustments and tasks.
Bookkeeper Qualifications / Skills:
- Experience with Quickbooks Online.
- Familiar with Canadian Payroll Compliances and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles under ASPE.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent English communication skills.

Education:
- Secondary School (required)
Experience:
- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 3 years (required)
