FILLING AND BATCHING OPERATOR
RATE RANGE:
$ $20.29

Responsibilities:
- Adhere to rules, procedures, safe work practices, health and safety standards and use of personal protective equipment
- Report and investigate all near misses/incidents/accidents resulting in personal injury or property damage
- Comply with Food Safety & Quality policies and procedures
- Ensure forms and checklists are accurately and legibly filled out
- Maintain safe and clean work environment; follow area checklist for sanitation requirements
- Verify tools, utensils, pails and other components are cleaned prior to and after use
- Adhere to recipe as per scheduled production plan; batch raw materials and ingredients as per recipe
- Maintain and verify traceability when putting raw materials and ingredients into the correct batch tank
- Request correct quantities of bulk ingredients (e.g. sugar) through the automated system
- Conduct physicalchemical inline quality control analysis (e.g. Brix, pH, consistency); report nonconformances or deviations to QC and the Shift
- Monitor process temperatures and pressures according to the parameters to prevent line stoppages and nonconforming finished product
- Follow FIFO procedures when selecting totes for filling; be attentive to the condition of the tote and document / report nonconformances
- Handle rework and rejected totes according to procedures
- Attention to detail when filling, cleaning and sealing totes so they are in proper condition for shipment to the customer
- Visual inspection of magnets and filters, document and report nonconformances to QC and Shift Supervisor
- Prepare process and line for CIP and sterilization; perform concentration checks as per procedures
- Follow aseptic micro sampling techniques to avoid crosscontamination
- Be willing to crosstrain in different production functions as needed; required to train new or transferred employees
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of GMPs preferred
- Strong attention to detail, problem solver, in a fastpaced environment
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.; be able to stand, bend, lift, twist, and turn, for extended periods of time in a humid environment
- Work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Must be safety and quality conscious
- Must be available for rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Flexibility is needed due to business requirements; advanced notice will be given
